MAHABUBNAGAR: Minister for Panchayat Raj Botsa Satyanarayana has said that the government has already released Rs. 37 crore to meet the need for road repairs in flood-affected areas in the State. Mahabubnagar district had received Rs.13 crore for the purpose. Speaking to press persons at APSP X battalion at Beechupally on Wednesday, the Minister informed that the Panchayat Raj engineers were directed to prepare detailed estimates on damages to roads and bridges within 15 days. The government would sanction estimates in December and works would be completed by July next, he said. The Minister said that the officials had geared up to take up sanitation works and to provide safe drinking water to the flood-affected villages besides, providing medical facility. Source hindu |
