AR Rehman Comments On ‘Magadheera’

Great music director AR Rehman came out with something in his heart freshly. He expressed his taste for Ram Charan’s Magadheera. He posted the following message on his facebook account.
“The period portions of Magadheera (Telugu) and the 8th reel of Robot are pieces of Indian cinema which blew my mind last year... I haven't watched many Indian films though... Been watching south Indian songs on a HD satellite receiver... A world of difference in sound and picture quality...”
Well, we have to see how SS Rajamouli and Ram Charan react to this.

'Appalraju' is out of Sankranthi competition

Ram Gopal Varma’s much-hyped KSD Appalraju won’t be releasing on Sankranthi. Earlier the producer Kiran Kumar Koneru said that the movie will be hitting the screens on January 12th. But latest we hear is that the movie has stepped out from Sankranthi competition. Due to strike in Tollywood, the movie could not complete the shooting and it is unlikely that it would wrap up the remaining shoot next month and be ready for Pongal. Hence Ram Gopal Varma has decided to release it after Sankranthi.

So far, only three films are confirmed for the festival - Balakrishna's Parama Veera Chakra, Ravi Teja's Mirapakay and Siddharth starrer Anaganaga O Dheerudu and all are to hit on January 12th.

Now, R R Movie Maker's Venkat is producing a film in their combination and the movie will begin its shoot from summer this year.

1.Simha
This Balakrishna starrer raked in about Rs 37 Crores and stood at No.1 position among all the straight Telugu films. Before Simha, Balakrishna had almost 11 flops in a row. Yet, he the star could bounce back with this movie. Perhaps, this is by far most profitable movie in 2010.

Ram Charan turns Santa Claus

On the occasion of Christmas, Ram Charan has distributed clothes and sweaters to the poor in a slum locality in Hyderabad. He celebrated the Christmas festival with the Shanti Nagar colony residents in Kokapet area in Hyderabad. "Few days ago I came here and saw them living in worse conditions. They don't have proper rugs, or clothes to cover themselves in this winter and they are living under open sky in this breezy winter. I am disturbed by their pathetic situation and decided to gift them Shawls, rugs and sweaters," Ram Charan said after celebrating the Christmas with the residents.

Samantha and Sameera are 'Erra Gulabilu'

Erra Gulabilu is one of the best movies directed by K Bharatiraja in the late 70's. Starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi in the lead role, the thriller won many accolades. Now Gautam Vasudev Menon is making a new thriller with the same title. Starring Samantha (who made debut in Gautham's Ye Maaya Chesave) and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles, the film is also being made in Tamil as Nadunisi Naaygal. But the Telugu version has been titled Erra Gulabilu. Ashok Vallabhaneni is producing it in Telugu. Manoj Paramhansa of YMC provides the camera work. The film has no songs.

Pawan takes initiative

The elusive super star Pawan Kalyan is now actively involving in the affairs of Telugu. Earlier he used to bunk all the events of Telugu film industry. He had also shown no interest in Movie Artiste's Association meetings. But he is a changed person now. When Producer's Council recently announced a committee to solve all the problems pertaining to Telugu film industry, he readily agreed to be part of the committee and immediately took the charge. Along with Mahesh Babu, he is now actively participating in the committee. Unlike other members of the committee, he himself took the initiative of interacting with all heroes in Tollywood. First he called on his own family members - Ram Charan and Allu Arjun.

He reportedly scolded Ram Charan for escalating the costs of 'Orange'. Ram Charan strongly stood by 'Bommarillu' Bhaskar and made producer Nagababu to provide whatever the director fancied. So the movie went over budget resulting a huge deficit for Nagababu. So much so that Nagababu almost left with no money in his balance account. So then the long-hearted and generous Pawan Kalyan bailed his brother in financial matters. Naturally, Pawan Kalyan reprimanded Ram Charan for throwing starry tantrums.

He also scolded his brother Nagababu for not being the perfect producer. Then he also called on Allu Arjun and appreciated the star for being very friendly with the producers and keeping his movies in within the budget.

Pawan Kalyan also reportedly admitted his fault in disastrous result of 'Komaram Puli' and he came forward to help the producer Singanamala Ramesh.

Then the power star spoke with several other stars in the industry and put his suggestions on reducing the costs of film production in front of them.

Anushka not interested in Bollywood

While Ileana is happily doing second lead in her maiden Bollywood film, Anushka is refusing to do the lead in a Hindi movie. Normally, any heroine would die for a lead role in a big Hindi movie. But Anushka shows no interest. Recently, she was offered the role in a Bollywood flick - remake of Tamil movie Singam (' Yamudu ' in Telugu) in which she did the lead role but Anushka didn't accept it. Bollywood director Rohith Shetty who is remaking it personally asked her to enter into Hindi film industry, yet Anushka declined politely saying she's 'comfortable in South film industry.'

Anushka is the busiest star in Telugu and Tamil and she is in much demand. So she doesn't want to become another Asin or Trisha who are now back from Bollywood doing South movies. Although Asin made grand entry into Hindi withGhajini, her subsequent flops made her a no star. Trisha's first Hindi movie, Khatta Meetha, was a disaster. Seeing their pathetic situation in Bollywood, Anushka wants to continue doing Telugu and Tamil movies.
